6.7L Powerstroke Performance Parts
Posted on 04 May 2015
Since 2011, the 6.7L Powerstroke has put the diesel game on notice. Featuring a near-bulletproof factory transmission, updated sheet metal, injection system and turbo, the truck has a lot to offer. America's best selling truck hasn't been lost to the aftermarket.
ATS has stepped up to offer an upgraded 6R140 and heavy duty torque converter. Recently, they released a deep pan to help keep temperatures cool. ATS upgrades the clutches and pump to get more torque holding capacity and clamping force on the clutches. Rumor has it, a Five Star Torque Converter is in the works and coming to market soon. They have also stepped up to offer single turbo upgrades for the troublesome 2011-2014 factory Ford turbo. While the kit hasn't been released yet, we hear it's very close.
For fueling upgrades, ATS is also working on a twin fueler kit to add a CP3 to the factory CP4. This will substantially increase fueling capabilities and throttle response. Companies like H&S Motorsports have also entered into this segment with twin fueler kits. We have seen these propel a 6.7L Powerstroke to the mid 800hp range with supporting modifications.
For tuning options, SCT, Edge, Bullydog, and Superchips can create bang-for-the-buck power at any budget. Most will add 150-250 ft/lbs of torque the tires and vastly increase throttle response, economy and pulling power.
